Dr. Dean Millar-Coote

Dean graduated from the University of Otago in 1984. He is a Fellow of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners and has a Post Grad Diploma in Sports Medicine. Dean worked in a number of hospitals in NZ and was training in Surgery when he made the decision to move to General Practice. 32 years later he is still enjoying the challenges and rewards that brings.

Dean feels it a privilege to be working alongside his patients in their community. He continues to use his skills in surgery, including skin cancer removal, and has a special interest in diabetes and disability health and wellbeing. However it is the attraction of being involved in all aspects of a patient’s well being that continues to motivate him each day.

Dean owns and leads RMC Medical Research Ltd which is a clinical research company carrying out clinical trials, mainly of new medicines, some of which are now used widely and benefitting his own patients.
